It's been over 30 years since the last of the Arconauts left Earth. The final destination of the Arcologie was never revealed to anyone or anything remaining behind. There was to be no more interaction, no more communication. The Human’s long relationship with Earth was to be completely severed and a new planet was to become their home.
The Arcologies’s trip to the new home planet would take nearly 200 Earth years, this much Alphdroid knew because of the Cryonic preparations it performed on the Arc itself. The Arconauts were to be put into cryogenic states for their surreptitious journey to the Second Settlement. During the trip, groups of different Arconauts would be woken for a year at a time to attend to the other passengers and cargo as well as performing any necessary upkeep and maintenance the Arc may need. They will then return to their Cryopads for another 50 years. Each of the 1000 Arconauts would be awake for roughly 4 years of the journey.
After reaching it's destination, the Arc will settle in an orbit around the secret planet. At that time, theoretically, the Arc could be seen from Earth if one was to look in the right place. Believing this to be true, Alphadroid plans on finding the Arc through a vigorous search of the galaxy and in turn, locate his creator as well as the Second Settlement. Some of the remaining humans tell Alphadroid that it’s a very long time to wait before it can even begin its search. Our sentient friend however, can’t relate. Being an immortal Mechanism, it doesn’t experience time the same way as humans do. Mechanisms can understand and measure time, just not experience it, so Alphadroid is only thinking of the day when a search for it's creator becomes possible. When that day comes, the search for the Arc will begin. It’s just time, so it waits.
lyrics
It’s Just Time
All the seconds and the minutes, every hour, it’s just time
All the days and all of those weeks, every month, it’s just time
It’s just time, so I’ll wait (x3)
It’s sublime, time
It’s all mine, time
It’s just time (x2)
All the years and the decades, every century
All the trips around the Sun we make, it’s just time

It's hard to pick a favourite track. This is the only album i have so far deemed as "perfect", where every track, even the intro, is just a masterpiece in its own right. From the hard hitting Perturbator's Theme to the emotional title track, its 68 minutes of perfection. 10/10. connivingkhajiit
